Burchills were engaged by the City of Gold Coast to provide specialist engineering services to support a pedestrian bridge upgrade and associated pathways in Tallebudgera.

The pathway approaches and bridge are located adjacent to the Tallebudgera Creek at Scotty Logan Lane, Tallebudgera Valley. In 2017 the City determined that the structure had reached the end of its serviceable life and replacement was required. Burchills have been involved in this project throughout, from concept planning, through to detailed design and construction.

Our team has undertaken early assessments as part of a Planning Report, this included site investigations, flooding and hydraulic assessments, civil and structural assessments, options analysis, environmental assessment and construction methodology and costing. Burchills scope increased to include detailed design for the replacement of Coplick pedestrian bridge and associated shared path connection to an arterial road. The project recently won a IPWEAQ ‘Highly Commended‘ Award for projects between $1-2m
